Senior Software Engineer

As one of our engineers based in our New York City office, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for architecting and developing the components of our best-in-class, off-exchange energy derivatives trading platform. Given our role in the energy options space, your familiarity with real-time trading systems (culled from prior experience in the financial industry, ideally in futures, options and commodities) would truly allow you to hit the ground running. An exciting element of our service product leverages the power of instant messaging, and your comfort with IM technologies and messaging architectures are a strong plus. Finally, your strong expertise in .NET and C# development, coupled with your experience with server-side Java/J2EE, will position you for success in a company that continues to make an impact in the energy market. Technical Support Specialist

As YellowJacket's technical support specialist, you'll be responsible for monitoring our clients and resolving complex technical issues for our best-in-class, off-exchange energy derivatives trading application. Your work supporting innovative, world class software with us will require continuous learning, acquisition of new skills and constant intellectual stimulation and challenges. You will enjoy being a key contributor on our close-knit, hard-working nimble and action-oriented product development team.

Working closely with a dedicated team of product managers and engineers, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to clients. You will diagnose, analyze, research and resolve moderately complex software problems experienced by end-users in a fast paced environment. In addition, you will also be responsible for providing precise, accurate and actionable feedback to development groups regarding product defects and enhancements. You will need strong oral and written communication skills in order to interact with both end-users and the software development team. Familiarity with real-time trading systems (culled from prior experience in the financial industry, ideally in futures, options and commodities) is desired but not required. Strong technical skills are a plus.
